     The crime of "Excessive Prescribing of Drugs" is found at California Business & Professions Code 725(b) B&P. To prove that the defendant is guilty of a violation of B&P 725(b), the prosecutor must prove that the defendant clearly and excessively prescribed or administered drugs or treatment without a medical basis.
